ANTIBODY RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 VACCINE AMONG PREGNANT WOMEN: A PROSPECTIVE STUDY

The study's objective was to investigate the antibody responses and fetal maternal adverse effects of Sinopharm vaccine. A prospective study conducted in Gynaecology Department LUMHS Hospital Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Multan DG Khan from January 2021 2022. total 90 women were included who administered Sinopharm. 3/90 (3.3%) received shots 1st trimester, 56/90 (62%) 2nd trimester 31/90 (34%) 3rd trimester. ELISA measured SARS-CoV-2 receptor binding domain (RBD) specific antibodies ACE2 blocking antibodies. on mother fetus evaluated after delivery. vaccine administration showed no harmful or pregnancy-related complications like congenital anomalies, miscarriage, preterm delivery, thrombotic events, death, hypertensive disorders. found 57/90 (63%) at time recruitment (when receiving dose); thus, they considered be previously infected. whole sample seroconverted dose. Significantly high levels RBD observed infected second dose compared uninfected individuals. positive results pregnant induced seroconversion rates ACE2-blocking
